Boomerfield Labs was founded in 2024 and is rooted in the Midwest. We're a small team working from home offices, spare bedrooms, and the occasional coffee shop across the region and beyond.
Remote isn't a workaround for us. It's the design. The people who are best at agency operations, insurance workflows, and quiet, careful software don't all live in the same city, and we'd rather hire the right person in Des Moines than the nearest person to a headquarters.
How we work
We write things down. Decisions live in documents, not in meetings, so working across time zones feels normal instead of heroic. Mornings are for deep work; most days have zero scheduled calls. When something deserves real-time conversation, we get on the phone and keep it short.
A couple of times a year we get the whole company in one place for a few days. The rest of the year, the work speaks for itself.
What we believe
Plain answers over jargon. Small promises, kept. Software should leave by five, and so should the people who make it.
Yes, the logo is a real dog. Boomerfield Labs is named after Boomer, a very good black Lab who belongs to family and takes his supervisory role seriously.
